Do you help to look after someone?
Are you a Young Carer?
Know someone we can help?
Are you an Unpaid Carer living with a disability or long-term health condition?
We need your help!

Connecting Carers strives to improve the lives of all Unpaid Carers in Highland. To enhance how we do this we need to provide a range of information highlighting the experiences, needs, and views of Unpaid Carers.

Our new Research Project is exploring the experiences of Unpaid Carers (both Adult and Young Carers) living with a Long-Term Condition or Disability as well as being a Carer for someone else.

Did you know – 1 in 5 Carers who responded to the 2023 State of Caring Survey acknowledged that they also had a Long-Term Condition or Disability!

Despite the high proportion of Unpaid Carers in this category, extraordinarily little is known about their lives and experiences.

Research Launch Event – Friday 13th March

On Friday 13th March, we will unveil the findings from groundbreaking new research that brings these hidden experiences into the spotlight. This research reveals the realities, challenges, and resilience of unpaid Carers living with long-term conditions or disabilities and why their voices matter now more than ever.
Join us for an inspiring and thought-provoking event, with lunch and refreshments provided, as we share the findings and explore how we can better recognise, support, and represent this often-invisible community.
Find out more and book tickets here.

If you have any questions, please contact our Research and Engagement Officer Andrew Scobie at research@connectingcarers.org.uk or call our Carer Support Line.
