All In Highlands: High-quality employment support for disabled people aged 16-plus


 

This is a new service offering invaluable support for the disabled funded by Third Sector Challenge Fund, and European Social Funding through Highland Council

Eligibility for the project is as follows:


Having the right to live and work in the UK
Residing in Highland Council area
Aged 16+ and out of work
Learning disability, autistic spectrum disorder, long-term health condition or additional needs


The service will work with individuals from all different stages of the supported employment programme, all tailored to that individuals needs and goals, with the aim of achieving a positive outcome, such as a job, more training, more qualifications, or the removal of barriers enabling more independence.

The service will be following the supported employment model, a five-step process of:

Engagement
Vocational Profiling
Barrier Removal
Job matching
After care 

The service has one employment co-ordinator covering each of: Caithness, Sutherland, Mid Ross, Wester Ross, Lochaber and a further three employment co-ordinators for Inverness, Nairn & Badenoch & Strathspey. There are three ways to refer on to the programme: Third party referral, self-referral that can be done by the individual or family member or through the DWP.
