Carer’s Allowance Supplement – an extra payment for people in Scotland who get Carer's Allowance on a particular date. 
 





Young Carer Grant
Are you 16 to 18 and caring for someone on a regular basis? Young Carer Grant is a £305.10 payment for young people who spend an average of 16 hours caring for someone who receives a disability benefit.

Winter Fuel Payment

The Winter Fuel Payment is a UK-wide benefit that helps people born on or before July 5, 1952 to pay their heating bills. However, in Scotland, the benefit is being extended to also cover families with severely disabled children.

Winter Heating Assistance for Children and Young People (Scotland) Regulations 2020

Draft regulations have been published setting out the rules for a new form of devolved social security benefit, providing £200 annually to children and young people in receipt of the highest-rate care component of Disability Living Allowance, to help with winter heating costs.

The Best Start Grant package of payments is available to families in Scotland who get certain benefits or tax credits.
It includes the Pregnancy and Baby Payment, Early Learning Payment and School Age Payment.
