inverWellness Health and Well-being clinic ...

Some of you were lucky enough to attend the recent four-week health workshops at Mac’s café, run by Ashley Moore. As a result of the success and popularity of these workshops, we are happy to announce that Ashley is going to hold regular surgeries for any of you who have questions on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month in Mac’s. All are welcome. She will be there from 10:30-11:30, starting on Thursday 2nd August.  Tea and coffee will be available for £1.50

Well we are also delighted to inform you that on Wednesday mornings from 1st August, Ashley will be offering a 30 minute massage at a special discounted price for carers of £20 at Mac’s café. (Usually £30)

The lastest edition of Carers News is packed with information on events and activities that are happening throughout Highland to celebrate Carers Week and the amazing contribution crers make to their families and communities.

There's news on our Yoga for Carers classes, how to make potions and lotions from your kitchen cupboard ingredients, an introduction to the latest member of the team Donna Shaw and some training sessions for older carers.

Afternoon Tea with Connecting Carers ...

Connecting Carers would like to invite unpaid carers in Highland to come together during Carers Week to celebrate the vital contribution carers make every day.  

Carers need access to breaks – from a few hours to a couple of weeks – to recharge the batteries and maintain a life of their own alongside caring.  Please join us for coffee, cake & chat or afternoon tea.

Carers Week 2018 'Healthy & Connected' ...

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities.
This Carers Week, we’re coming together to support the health and wellbeing of carers in Highland. Around 32,000 people in Highland are carers, looking after a parent, partner, child or friend who has a disability, illness, mental health problem or who needs extra help as they grow older.

Spring Fling @ MAC's Cafe ...

It's all happening at MAC's Cafe this May - part of our 'Spring Fling' series of events to try and encourage more carers in the local area to use the cafe.
Choose from container gardening, upcycling, kitchen cupboard remedies or come along and join our fledgling carers choir - all carers welcome. Refreshments available.
