Carers (Scotland) Act 2016 Draft Regulations

< Back

The Carers (Scotland) Act 2016 will come into force on 1st April 2018. The intention of the Act is to ensure that unpaid carers are supported on a more consistent basis so that that can continue to care, if they so wish, in good health and to have a life alongside caring.

Before this happens the Government is seeking stakeholders views on the Act's draft regulations to ensure that they are appropriate, fit for purpose and avoid any potential unintended consequences.

We would like to invite your views on each of the draft regulations and you can view them here: draft-regulations-under-the-carers-act-2016
